Member of the "Strong Republic" bloc, MP Shawqi Al-Dakkash, issued a statement in which he considered that the feelings of anger prevailing among supporters of the "Lebanese Forces" came as a result of what he described as a violation of the security of homes and the fall of victims inside them, referring to the killing of Pierre Moawad and his wife Flavia. Al-Dakkash stressed that the Lebanese Forces adhere to the state's choice and protection, calling for an end to what he described as a state of security chaos. He accused unnamed parties of using civilians as human shields, considering that this endangers the Lebanese. He pointed out that he is awaiting the issuance of the security services’ report, and following up on the measures that will be taken to prevent the recurrence of such incidents. He stressed that the Lebanese Forces' ceiling remains the state and its demand to assume its responsibilities in protecting citizens, stressing at the same time that they "will not stand idly by" in the face of what he described as imposing danger on people. He concluded by emphasizing adherence to defending Lebanon and protecting the regions.
